Lahti Fringe Festival Project builds a year-round service model for creating, supporting and developing new urban culture events through piloting a new culture and art event Lahti Fringe Festival. The project reinforces the urban culture identity and builds the brand of Lahti by involving residents and local organizations in co-creation process.

Project activity is event concept, which is going to serve as a concept of the network-driven urban culture event in Lahti. It can be utilized year-round, and It is customer-oriented model that is easy to join. The goal is to be able to facilitate cultural events throughout the year with the possibility for municipal citizens to take part also in the planning and processes of event production.

Another activity is customer service model, which is going to enable fluent co-operation between stakeholders in events (event managers, municipality, audience, students, businesses and volunteers). it is a service platform that enables participants in the event process to work effectively and offers support for the event management processes.

Last but not least is the Lahti Fringe Festival pilot, where the event concept and customer service model are piloted through first time. The pilot aims to co-operation with the event managers, artists and cultural organizations.
